Between 3.5% and 10 % of the UK’s population is scared of injections or has a serious needle phobia. They are battling to try and overcome their fears amid the current Covid 19 vaccination programme. While the government is working to ease the fears of those who are worried about safety, so many people suffer from a deeply ingrained fear and they will need some sort of help overcoming these fears.

The name for it is trypanophobia - an extreme fear of medical procedures involving injections. Children are especially afraid of needles because they're unused to the sensation of their skin being pricked by something sharp.

A few sessions of Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP can often really help people resolve their fear. These processes target the unconscious, the imagination, memory, and inner belief system to help unravel the causes of the phobia. The techniques are also great to help loosen the control that disproportionate fear has over people, lessening the body’s fight-or-flight response.
